Live the Joy!
Franciscan spirituality adds a particular aspect to our prayer, charism, and life; we study and reflect on the writings, prayers and life of St. Francis in order to assimilate his spirit. Above all we make his peace our program, that peace based on Francis’ unique understanding of “perfect joy” and expressed in the Prayer of St. Francis which we strive to interiorize in our daily life
We work to cherish one another as Christ cherished his chosen disciples. In the strength of our community spirit we strive to extend Christ’s love and peace to each person we meet each day. As servants of the Divine Teacher, we clothe ourselves in sincere compassion, kindness and humility, gentleness and patience in bearing with one another, and forgiving one another as the Lord has forgiven us. After the example of St. Francis, we hold a special reverence for all clergy, especially in the person of our Holy Father Pope Francis, and pray for them daily.
We have a deep love of our Blessed Mother, Mary. We celebrate her feasts with special joy; prayers to her (especially the rosary) are part of our daily community life of prayer.
