"As Franciscan Sisters of Christ the Divine Teacher we strive above all for the glory of God and for intimate union with Him following as closely as possible Jesus our Divine Teacher as He speaks to us through the Gospels." - Community Constitution #1
Following the example of our Seraphic Father Francis, we live a life of simplicity and poverty, total living of the Gospel, and perfect adherence to the Word of Christ, the Divine Teacher. Our Constitutions are based on Scripture, the Rule of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, and on papal documents dealing with religious life, especially those of Vatican II.
We profess public vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, live a common life, engage in corporate commitments, and wear a community habit. Our union with God is fostered by daily Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, daily rosary, spiritual reading, and quiet private prayer.
We strive, therefore, to follow Christ completely and to serve the Church faithfully through the apostolate of teaching and service in the local Church, building the Christian community through education in all its aspects and through other parish ministries.
