Welcome Bishop Zinkula!

May God be praised for sending us his servant, the Most Rev. Thomas Zinkula!

After an inspiring Mass for the installation of Davenport's new bishop, the Sisters were privileged to greet our new shepherd in person. Please join us as we continue to pray for Bishop Zinkula as he leads our diocese closer to Christ.

God bless him, he was even up for a selfie!

Lectio Gaudio ~ Joyful Reading on Facebook!

Better Late than Never...

Well, I suppose it's about time. We Sisters tread lightly in the realm of social media, but we're getting our feet wet slowly but surely. Lectio Gaudio, our book club, has ventured onto Facebook. If you get a chance, stop by and give it a gander. (Don't expect too much, we're new at this.) Helpful hints are always appreciated and will help us learn how "messaging" works. Thank you to everyone who continues to supports our Community and pray for success in our new social media adventures!

A New School Year About to Begin...

Winding up for a new year.

The days are getting shorter and cooler (well, a little, maybe) and every kid knows what that means - School is coming!  School. No other word in the English language seems to come with such conflicting emotions.  "I'm so excited to see all my friends everyday again." vs. " I have to take Geometry everyday this year." We've all been there. So please take time to say some extra prayers for all the students getting ready to head back to classes and the mystery that is education.  Please pray also for their teachers and all those who have a hand in creating a safe and loving environment in which the students can learn all they will need so that they can reach their fullest potential as a child of God.

Bookstore Update

When's the bookstore going to be open?

Soon. God's Divine Providence orders all good things, he just hasn't given us a specific date yet.  We are currently working on getting proper licensing, which includes a few inspections.  Once we have that squared away, it should just be a matter of deciding on hours of operation.  We thank you for your patience! Please continue to pray for the bookstore through the intercession of St. Joseph.
